Strawberry
A little closer

Strawberries normally need cool highland climates. We are building climate-controlled strawberry container farms so sweet, fresh fruit can grow close to the city, in any season.

A container farm gives full control over light, temperature, humidity and nutrients, the four things a strawberry plant cares about most.
Temperature, humidity and CO₂ held in the ideal range for flowering and fruiting, whatever the weather outside.
No off-season. Production is planned for steady supply to retailers, hotels and restaurants.
AKAR OS tracks every unit in real time, with alerts and daily reports.
Containers sit near the market, cutting transport time so fruit arrives fresher.

Each unit combines vertical growing racks, horticultural LED lighting, climate control and AKAR’s IoT sensor system.
Strawberry is where we start. The other four are research directions, not produce we sell or proven commercial programmes. Each needs its own work on cultivar, climate, root zone, pollination and economics.

Raspberry grows on canes, so cane support, fruiting habit and delicate harvesting are part of the design rather than a standard container setup. Reference: Oregon State University.

Blueberry is a shrub that needs an acidic root zone. Variety, space and local climate all matter for any protected-growing approach. Reference: University of Minnesota Extension.

Cranberry has specialised root-zone and water needs. It is a separate research direction, not a crop that can be added to a strawberry farm. Reference: Cranberry Institute.
